Like a storm of urban, hip-hop science surging across the country, FMA Live! has reached
an amazing 812 middle schools – throughout the U.S. and Canada – from Miami to Chicago and Los Angeles to New York. And it’s still going!

This middle school craze is capturing the attention of students and teachers alike creating a wave of frenzied fans in every town it hits. Show-goers witness Sir Isaac Newton’s legendary Three Laws of Motion and experience science in a way never before seen or heard.

Here’s what the fans are saying:

“My school community and I were blown away with the FMA Live! show. The real-world connection to force and motion, the extraordinary demonstrations that had us laughing, questioning and screaming simultaneously, and the professionalism of your actors, crew and production company sets this science show apart from any other. FMA Live! has a score of infinity on the charts of awesomeness for students and teacher alike!”
Gretchen Brinza, Teacher, Calmeca Academy, Chicago, IL

“The show was exciting and the music was upbeat and fun. The music kept me engaged and it was fun to see my friends up there on stage.”
Emily Washington, Student, Chardon Middle School, Chardon, OH (The News Herald, “Studing Laws,” October 29, 2010)

“The learning objectives were extremely clear and demonstrated in creative and fun ways. Our students were excited before, during and long after the production. I strongly recommend FMA Live! to any middle school looking to enrich their students’ learning in an exciting and relevant manner.”
Mark Huss, Principal, Zimmerman Middle School, Zimmerman, MN

“This was hands-down the most interesting, attention-keeping, and thorough science show I have ever seen! I loved how the music, videos, and descriptions by the performers kept reinforcing the Three Laws of Motion, so by the end of the show all the students knew them thoroughly. One student said it was the most exciting show he’d ever seen in his life! Parents, teachers, students and administrators all loved it! They’re already asking me if I can bring FMA Live! back again next year.”
- Barbara Houtz, Director of Outreach, Eberly College of Science, The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA

“FMA Live! is a wonderful way to make physics real to our middle school students. Not only is it engaging and interactive, the science behind the show is reiterated throughout the performance. Our students were very excited and appreciative of the multimedia format and the great performers. They really enjoyed the part of the show where their teachers were involved. FMA Live! is a great contribution to the school community and reinforces our emphasis on the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) skills our students need to compete in a global society.”
- Dr. Jean Satterfield, Area Assistant Superintendent, Baltimore County Public Schools, Baltimore, MD

“This is a top notch program! The students that were so fortunate to see the program learned more than I could have taught them in a traditional setting! This event was a class act and I am extremely grateful for having this opportunity for my students!”
- Denise Blevins, Science Teacher, Waynesville Middle School, London, KY

“I thoroughly enjoyed the FMA Live! presentation. The students were engaged and the actors did an excellent job of teaching Newton’s Laws through a high energy, hip-hop performance. I give FMA Live! two thumbs up!”
- Nathan Burns, GATE Specialist, Baltimore City Schools, Baltimore, MD

“FMA Live! is a great tool for science teachers. It provides students with an opportunity to relate science to contemporary music. It makes science fun and exciting. I would definitely recommend this program.”
- Albert Padilla, Science Teacher, Jersey City Public Schools, Jersey City, NJ
